The generalized Saint Venant operator and integral moment transforms

چکیده

In this article, we work with a generalized Saint Venant operator introduced by Vladimir Sharafutdinov [Inverse and ill-posed problems series, VSP, Utrecht, 1994] to describe the kernel of integral moment transforms over symmetric m m -tensor fields in alttext="n"> n encoding="application/x-tex">n -dimensional Euclidean space. We also provide an equivalence between injectivity question for tensor Schwartz class.

The Saint-Venant inequality for the Laplace operator with Robin boundary conditions∗

This survey paper is focused on the Saint-Venant inequality for the Laplace operator with Robin boundary conditions. In a larger context, we make the point on the recent advances concerning isoperimetric inequalities of Faber-Krahn type for elastically supported membranes and describe the main ideas of their proofs in both contexts of rearrangement and free discontinuity techniques.

Simulation and visualization of the Saint-Venant system using GPUs

We consider three high-resolution schemes for computing shallow-water waves as described by the Saint-Venant system and discuss how to develop highly efficient implementations using graphical processing units (GPUs). The schemes are well-balanced for lake-at-rest problems, handle dry states, and support linear friction models. The first two schemes handle dry states by switching variables in th...

Generalized Integral Operator and Multivalent Functions

Let A(p) be the class of functions f : f(z) = z + ∑∞ j=1 ajz p+j analytic in the open unit disc E. Let, for any integer n > −p, fn+p−1(z) = z p (1−z)n+p . We define f (−1) n+p−1(z) by using convolution ? as fn+p−1(z) ? f (−1) n+p−1(z) = z (1−z)n+p . A function p, analytic in E with p(0) = 1, is in the class Pk(ρ) if ∫ 2π 0 ∣∣∣Rep(z)−ρ p−ρ ∣∣∣ dθ ≤ kπ, where z = re, k ≥ 2 and 0 ≤ ρ < p. We use t...

Backstepping stabilization of the linearized Saint-Venant-Exner model

Using backstepping design, exponential stabilization of the linearized Saint-Venant–Exner (SVE) model of water dynamics in a sediment-filled canal with arbitrary values of canal bottom slope, friction, porosity, andwater–sediment interaction, is achieved. The linearized SVEmodel consists of two rightward convecting transport Partial Differential Equations (PDEs) and one leftward convecting tran...

The Saint-Venant principle for columnar discotic liquid crystals

2014 We compute the high frequency elastic distortion of a columnar discotic single crystal submitted to a longitudinal dilation. The ends of the columns are assumed to be clamped and anchored perpendicularly to two infinitely rigid glass plates, on a width L. The local strain close to the plates relaxes to the homogeneous distortion of an unclamped sample on a characteristic length £ ~ (Lm)1/2...
